  1. 1. Cheating on his English Final, taking his photo III class, and learning his friend's darkest secret.

    2. Make it on the dean's list, join a fraternity, and have a girlfriend.

    3. Stay out of trouble, friend a brother, find the right girl for him.

Sweating bullets, Johnny Roger could not sleep at night. All Johnny thought about was cheating on his english exam. Weeks past, his teacher posted the report card online. Examining carefully, Johnny achieved an "A" grade and never got caught!
On his way to college, Johnny had confidence, a swagger unmatched by his fellow classmates. In his new classroom, Johnny thought he would be sneaky and cheat just as he had done in high school. Feeling invincible, he got away with cheating for several weeks in college. One day, a teacher saw Johnny on his phone in the middle of a test and immediately confiscated his test. Although he was a dean's list potential, one of his many goals in college, Johnny's grades were immediately questioned because of his actions; therefore he was suspended and eliminated from the dean's list. If only Johnny did the right thing and never relied on cheating to make his way through high school and college he never would have had this problem. Hopefully, Johnny Roger learns his lesson and never goes back to his resentful ways.

  2. 1. Resents his freshman year calculus teacher for giving him the B that made him second, not first, in his class; his dad for giving the scholarship money in their family's name to another student, not him; his brother for dropping out of college and still being the favorite
    2. Would like to pay off college loans and graduate debt-free; go camping vacation with just his dad, not even his brother; spend his last semester in a country where his family can't contact him, but won't
    3. To go to another country, his father could give him the money to leave; swallow his pride and ask for the money with no solid reason; join the military and drop out just like his brother in hopes of possibly gaining his father's favoritism at the same time

The student gets off the phone with his brother, who runs an online-business from his half-million dollar apartment somewhere on the West Coast- he doesn't even know where. His brother is thinking of moving their dad out there with him, just another sign of the bond they have that he never will. If his brother is staking his claim on the rights he has on their father as firstborn, there is nothing the student can do to stop them. Second-born, mainstream, and studious, he has never been able to attract the attention that a driven and explosively talented dropout like his elder brother has. In an attempt to impress him, he told his brother just before hanging up that he's thinking about about moving to one of those countries in the Middle East they're building out of water, an impossible dream. When his brother asks how he got the money for that sort of thing, he says he's been working. Working at what? he asks, and the younger boy can't tell if he's sarcastic or interested. He tells him he's been saving money doing all sorts of jobs, studying at the same time, still salutatorian. He can hear his brother nod once over the phone. "Okay," he says. "Sounds great." They make small talk, his brother once again knows all about Dad's latest health scare and what he's getting him for his birthday three months in advance, and for some reason the younger boy allows his brother dominion over their father - after all, he was there first. They hang up, the student goes back to his non-paying job of studying more than anyone should have to, and remains like that for another two weeks, hibernating on his own through semester exams, speaking to no one. When the tests are finally finished and students board planes and trains out of the snowy weather, back to California and the ritzy states they come from, he remains in his dorm, reading the small pile of male that has been collecting in his box downstairs. Most of the pile is formed by a large manila envelope, which he opens last as he walks into the blinding snow outside the dorm. On the opening of the folder, a note is scrawled in Sharpie. "It doesn't snow in California, but it doesn't snow out there, either. Merry Christmas." The folder contains the money to choose, and he immediately knows where he will go.

  3. secretly resents:
    1. high school cheerleaders
    2. red heads
    3. public school
    will not accomplish before college
    1. have a close group of multiple friends
    2. stay a virgin

    1. best friend is branching out to other social cliques
    2. broke up with her boyfriend and vowed to not date again until college
    3. a new tanning salon opened close to her house

The day passed slowly. The sun stayed in the same position. The water on the ground never seemed to completely dry up. There were only three weeks until high school graduation, and it seemed that life had just stayed still for the past few months. Leslie and Kat were still best friends, Leslie's grades had stayed the same, the mean girls were still mean, the redheads still had red hair. The cheerleaders still walked around the school like they owned it, pushing everyone out of the way when they walked down the hallway. Leslie's parents still fight, her younger brothers still shoot guns at her, and he boyfriend had still broken up with her a week ago in order to date the head cheerleader. It seemed that the only thing that the only thing that was different from normal was that a new tanning salon had just opened up a mile away from her house. After always envying how tan Kat naturally was, Leslie hoped that she would one day walk next to Kat and be the same skin color. Leslie made the decision that she would start going to laying in the tanning bed once a week. After the first week, Leslie felt more confident than ever. But when she went to the tanning salon the second time, she started feeling itchy as she sat in the bed for a few minutes. THe itch got so bad that she sad to leave the bed, looking like a lobster with huge welts covering her entire body. She went home ashamed and confused. It didn't make sense to her. Was there a reason why she was always pale? What had triggered the reaction? As she walked up to her mother, who had been previously unaware of what her daughter had been doing, she saw her mothers face change from confusion to fear. Leslie knew that her goal would never be reached as soon as her mother explained that Leslie was allergic to the sun. "Of course," Leslie thought. "After all of these years, lets just add one more unfortunate thing about my life." Leslie would never be able to tan by the sun. It seemed that nothing had changed in her life, except for the fact that she now knew that she would never be tan. The sun was out, Leslie was itching, and the water on the asphalt was still there.

  4. Resentments
    1. Judgmental people
    2. Lying
    3. Babies
    Before College Graduation
    1. Travel the world
    2. Live in Spain for a semester
    3. Finish at least 1 book during the school year
    Could Happen
    1. If she somehow inherited a lot of money from a distant family member that had passed away, traveling the world would be possible.
    2. If she stayed out of trouble through junior year, her parents may allow her to go to Spain for a semester, because they will trust her to not just party, but study too.
    3. She would finish a book if it meant she could go to Africa.

She had never been the sharpest tool in the shed. Her family is made up of her mom, one of the top doctors in the United States, dad, CEO of a huge company, her sister, valedictorian of her class, and herself. She always thought of herself as a disappointment because she was nothing like any members of her family. She tried hard in school, but never clicked, but there was one thing she had always shared with her father and that was that one thing, the bond which allowed for a close relationship, hunting. On the weekends he did not have to work, he would take her to South Texas to kill anything that was in season. She preferred deer season, so she could kill a nice sized buck, but didn’t mind bird. She had a dream, something she dreamt of since she was a child, which was for them to travel to Africa together, so she could kill something exotic that she had never even heard of. Her dad was aware, but also knew school was a challenge. There was on thing she hated most in the world, and that was reading. She had never been able to finish a book, always read the first few chapters and quit. Every time her English class started a new book she would never read it, wouldn’t even open it, but instead listen to the discussions in class and would try and figure out what it's about so she could pass the test on it. One day her dad told her that if she would read only one book, and actually finish it (he was pretty sure this would be her first time to finish any type of story) then he would bring her to Africa as a graduation present. She began to read the book her dad gave her and just couldn’t do it. A week later her dad asked how it was going and she told him she finished. He was proud of her and left the room in excitement to plan the trip. He repeatedly told her how proud he was of her for actually doing what he said, especially in something like reading. He didn’t think it was possible. She was quiet that day and wasn’t being herself because the guilt was killing her. She lied to her father and did not finish the book and after he was saying how proud he was of her, she felt even worst. On the second day of the trip, she told her father the truth. She was upset and he was disappointed. The remaining of the trip was silent until they both arrived home. The thing she hated most was lying and she was driven to do so in order to get what she wanted and hurt the person she trusted most.

  5. 1. Reading
    2. Become a billionaire
    3. Invent something

In high school Abby was the smartest of her grade. She made highest honor roll each year and would graduate to be valedictorian. Abby played a sport each season and was well liked by everyone. She appeared happy on the outside to everyone but secretly was not. The work was over flowing all the time she just would never let anyone see it on her face. She never appeared worried or nervous, always ready for what came next and very intelligent. All the teachers and students thought that Abby's favorite activity of all was reading, so they had her read in every chapel and for homework assigned countless pages each night. She was very good at reading and no one gave her the choice to explain that secretly, she resented it the most. She had no desire to read and promised herself once she graduated she would never open another book again, no matter what. She hated that she couldn't see characters or put faces to them. She didn't like the free range of imagination books and novels created. Abby imagined her dream every night before she went to bed to keep her going, to make waking up each morning easier. Abby dreamed of becoming a billionaire before graduating college, and to make a difference in the world. She knew it was impossible and just would not happen, but what was in the way from stopping her dream. Abby could invent a tool that reads a book for you and then forms it into a movie for those people who don't enjoy reading. She knew this idea was impossible to do, but each night she continues to think it anyways. This simple utensil could make Abby a billionaire right away. If only it was possible she would create this product and sell it to become the worlds richest lady, all before graduating from college. She wanted to help kids who despised reading and never spoke up about it. Even though it seemed like a dumb plan, and dumb for a person like Abby to hate reading so much, judging that she’s so good at it, but Abby just needed a little inspiration to push her though the rest of high school, with the busiest schedule.

    1. It is good story and follows the Feytag Pyramid. There was plenty of exposition, the conflict was she hates reading but wants to become a billionaire and the resolution was that she created such a tool so she didnt have to read which made her a billionaire. It was a cute, funny story!

    2. Study abroad, play soccer in another country, run a marathon
    3. Find a study abroad program in Europe, find a family in a soccer playing country and do an exchange program, train in a running group

Tom was so tired of living in the shadows of his brother, Max. Max was the eldest of two boys that could do no wrong. In high school, he had been the star of the football team. Tom was so excited to finally graduate high school and make a fresh start, where no one new of his brother. Unfortunately, Tom had been offered a full scholarship to the same university as his brother. For his parents, it had been a no brainer to send both boys to the same college. Tom reluctantly agreed to go, but expressed his desire to find himself and not been known as Max's little brother. As Tom began his freshman year, he found that it was difficult to differentiate himself from his brother. Even his college professors had made the correlation. Tom just wanted the opportunity to get out of the small college town he was in. Little did he know that his chance had come to escape his brother's shadow. The business school was hosting a study abroad program in Italy for the Spring semester. The program had a certain amount of slots and the deadline was approaching quickly. Tom saw his chance and began to fill out the paper work to submit his application. He was so excited about the program that he called his parents to tell them about it and see if they would support his international studies abroad. His parents informed him that Max was also applying for this program and they could only afford to send one of them on this journey. They felt that it was only fair to send Max, since he was the eldest getting and first to apply.

"Finally" Tim said in celebration as he booked a seat on the last flight to Chile that month, the month before college started. That night, Tim was encompassed with gear and clothes that would soon be hiking up the steep mountains at the Torres del Paine Circuit. Nearly three hours passed before he had determined which items would be in his pack for this journey. Being sure to safely secure all of his edged tools, Tim wrapped them in rags from his laundry room so that TSA would have no reason to view him as a threat. Adding the last few strips of black duct tape to the sheathed "weapons", he tossed them in the sides of his ballistic nylon pack made by Kifaru. The next morning was a breeze; all he needed was to print his boarding pass off, put his pack in the car, and drive down I10 towards the airport. The morning of his departure, still driving down the residential roads, Tim noticed that the car in front of him was swerving quite a bit. Thinking that somebody would be drunk at 8AM seemed a bit odd to him, but he just shrugged it off and proceeded to swiftly pass the ominous car. A quarter mile down the road, Tim briefly looked at his rearview mirror just in time to see the same car run directly into a street lamp post. He hesitated. Questioning his options about going hiking or trying to save the victim of a dangerous lamp post, he turned the car around like they do in too many action movies, the friction burning the rubber, and drove back to the crumpled Chevrolet Neon. Calling 911, opening a car door, and trying to see if the lady was alright proved too much for Tim. He slowed his pace and fluidly contacted the police, opened the door, and made sure the lady was well. However, she wasn't alright. A two foot long piece of metal strut that kept her car seat upright punctured the small of her back. By the time he noticed this, the police and paramedics were taking control of the situation and taking all precautions to safely remove the now paralyzed woman from her car. Tim gave his police report and headed back home, knowing his flight had already departed for Chile. Later that night, a news segment was given to talk about the story of the wreck. Tim learned that the lady had not been drunk, but had simply fell asleep at the wheel with 10 kilos of unmarked heroin in the trunk.

      1. Adventurous, badass, well-prepared

      2. Yes it follows the Feytag Pyramid. There was plenty of exposition, the conflict was the crash, the climax was Tim helping the lady, and the resolution was the news report the next day.

      3. Tim's extensive knowledge of the outdoors and survival techniques is what makes him unique.

      4. Not really, seeing as I'm not big on camping and I don't often save people from car crashes.

      5. Have a little less exposition and more focus on the climax/conflict.

  9. 1) her younger sister- her parents love her more, her history teacher- he failed her for no reason, the color orange
    2) break up with her boyfriend, graduate in 4 years, go streaking
    3) finally admit that the relationship isnt working out, take extra classes, dont think about it just do it

Orange. a color that most people love during the month of October but soon grow tired of it in November. At least thats how it is in every other place expect Hickory, North Carolina. In Hickory the color orange is plastered and loved through out this small college town. Everyone loves it except Sarah. She had thought she could grow to love the color orange and Hickory after her acceptance into Hickory University. She was soon learning her disgust for orange was growing each day she spent surrounded by it. After a semester of Hickory University Sarah decided to leave. She redid her applications to transfer to a new University, one she hoped would be better than her current one. Her friends from back home came up to help her pack up her self (her parents were going to her little sisters flute recital). After a hard days of packing Sarah up, Sarah and her friends sat on her barren floor drinking beers and telling Sarah how much we would love her new school. After a couple of beers Sarah admitted to her friends she wanted to do something crazy before she left Hickory and never saw these people again. She told them she really wanted to go streaking through the quad, her friends told her to go for it! After a little bit more liquid courage Sarah shakelly got to her feet and headed towards the door, her friends following close behind. As she was headed out of her room her boot caught on the door lip. The floor started coming at her fast and with a sickening crack she hit her head against the hard, cold cement floor.
“Where am I?” That was the first question she asked when she woke up.
“You hit your head and had a concussion. Your friends drove you here to the hospital, but don’t worry they took all your stuff to your house.” The doctor said in clipped sentences. “You don’t have to do anything, you can leave for home once you feel up for it.”

    Short Story:
Sitting down in front of his computer, Drew began to fanaticize. His imagination soared as he logged into his blog, wondering what kind of new people he would meet on the internet that day. He had just quit from his job at TGI Friday’s and was ready to get away from the stress of job-hunting. Truth be told, Drew resented being a waiter and intended to find a job in writing. Drew’s blog, Family Matters to Drew, was a haven for all people sharing a love for Urkel and the Winslow Family. His eyes focused on the screen in front of him, perusing the first comment of the day. A man named Bill Walsh posted to Drew, “Your blogging style is so crisp and fresh. It bleeds truth with every word. I would like to hire you as a panelist for the New York Times, would you be interested?”. Drew began to shake. He ran to his telephone and called his landlord. His apartment was packed and listed in two short hours. Ready to move himself to New York. Returning to his computer, Drew realized that he had not replied to the job offer. With great anticipation, Drew began to type his reply when a second comment appeared below the first. Bill Walsh posted again, “I am so terribly sorry Drew, my little brother got onto my account and posted this. I am not with the New York Times and am sorry for the inconvenience. However, if you are looking for a job I am on good terms with the Chili’s staff here in Lexington and could probably score you a job as a waiter. Just let me know”.

Short Story: Terry slipped and fell and embarrassed herself in front of the whole varsity boy’s baseball team at Cornell. This memory was sure to last for her entire life. For some particular reason the baseball team had just returned from their extravagant trip to the Hawaiian islands, in search of mystical teachings about hitting the baseball much further. Upon returning from their trip the boys decided they would bring back mounds of delicious, locally grown coconuts, this was the beginning of Terry’s end. Suddenly a cat jumped out near Terry and scared her high off of her feet and straight into the jumbled patch of coconuts, causing her to skid and slide about the ground bashing her head on each hairy, not-yet-opened coconut.
Terry was painfully embarrassed, her reputation was shot and there was no other way to regain her balance and footing after her enormous fall, learning to be coordinated enough to concur a standing back flip. Terry enters the local gymnastics class and meets the ultimate man of her dreams, flipping across the room like a gazelle on LSD. She learns to do a back flip fairly quickly from her striking coach, despite the fact that his first language is Mandarin Chinese. Learning the back flip was the easy part for Terry, but she soon learned that she was madly in love for her Chinese coach and needed to learn to speak his language so that they could communicate and become a happily married couple in the near future. Months go by of Mandarin class, Chinese restaurants, and trips to Beijing, but Terry cannot seem to master this daunting language. More months go by and one day as Terry and her coach were lying on the couch watching a movie she began to nestle up against him and smell his gymnast’s scent. Upon her surprise the coach reeked of a smell that had haunted her for the longest time now, Coconut!

    1. 1. Pick 3 adjectives to characterize the story's character in the story. List them.
      • Timid
      • Haunted
      • Petrified
      2. Does the writer's story follow the Freytag Pyramid? How? Please analyze the plot in brief sentences.

      • The story does in fact follow this method created by the great Gustav Freytag. It incorporates each element of this structure, delivering a well-sequenced story to the audience. The exposition is followed by a rising action, climax, falling action, and finally the dénouement of discovering her lover’s coconut scent.

      3. What is unique about the story or the character?

      • The writer cleverly instills a unique element of irony into the plot.
      • The main character, Terry, is a distinguished character in her vulnerability to destruction.
      • Each stage of the story demonstrates this magnetic relationship Terry has with trouble, illuminating her inability to escape from tragedy.

      4. Do you identify at all with this story? How?

      • I do not identify with this story.
      • I do not seek others’ approval in such circumstances over superficial matters.
      • My method of redemption lies in one principle alone; martyrdom.

      5. Give the writer 2 constructive tips that you think might help his/her story.

      • Scotty, your writing has great potential. I suggest polishing your transitions to facilitate your maximization of this promise.
      • Beyond this issue of transition, connecting the dots and pieces in a witty manner will further empower your gifted ability.

    1) Always losing to her sister
    2) Not being famous (even though she has nothing that qualifies her to be famous)
    3) The kids that ‘don’t understand her’

What she wants to accomplish before college
    1) Make a music video on YouTube that gets more than 1,000,000 hits
    2) Beats her sister for once in her life
    3) Have the kids that ‘didn’t understand her’ grovel at her feet

    Things that could happen
    1) She meets a famous record producer
    2) Her fairy godmother comes
    3) She finally figures out her sister cheats at everything all this time

Lilly wears a different color streak in her hair everyday to go with her mood. Her attire consists of ankle length white converse sneakers that she has drawn dragons and flowers on with different colored sharpies. Occasionally she also enjoys rocking a faux leather jacket that she thinks makes her look like a rock star as well. Unfortunately for her though, her peers beg to differ. They have nicknames for her like Hannah Montana wannabe, which for most people is as bad as it gets. She aspires to go above that name, and no longer have the identity of a wannabe. She also wishes that she no longer had to live in the shadows of her older, beautiful, far from wannabe sister. Every time she tried to achieve one of her goals on her own though she always failed, and it was getting to the point where she felt like she couldn’t do it anymore. One night though she had a dream of an older woman in a pumpkin like dress in light blue sprinkled with sparkles all the way down to her feet. The woman asked her, “What do you most desire?” Lilly could not answer; instead, she screamed, “Who the heck are you?” The next thing she knew her mother was standing at her door in her robe asking Lilly, “Honey are you alright?” Lilly did not understand what had just happened, but she shook it off and told her mom she was fine and to go back to sleep. The next day a record producer was at her school scouting out possible talent because he was so desperate to get some new music out to the public. Lilly didn’t know that he was a record producer though because he wore an outfit that made him fit in more with the kids. She went up to him and asked him if his mother chose that outfit or if he was just blind. The record producer was obviously appalled by her attitude and stormed off from her crass words. Lilly had no idea what she had done; she had just ruined her dream of ever attaining a video with over 1,000,000 hits on YouTube. The next day her sister bet her that the girl that the bachelor was going to choose would be Allison. Little did Lilly know her older sister had just watched the show so she knew that the bachelor would definitely pick Allison. Lilly forgot to check the schedule that day though and forgot that the Bachelor was on the night before. Of course, as always, Lilly lost to her older sister as usual. Lilly’s rebellious and dismissive attitude landed her right back where she started.

    Story:
Walking back from an intensive day of piano lessons, Pilpo spotted a pretentious group of police. Completely disgusted, Pilpo disguised himself decisively to destruct the devastating squad of douche-bags. Quick to react, their response was composed of rubber bullets and angry rhetoric. Pilpo aborted his mission and took off with a forest ahead in his vision. Fully aware of the lukewarm lake that lie ahead, he leaped through the little bushes without hesitation. Pilpo was incapable of swimming and his hope of escape was dimming. He remembered, however, that it has always been a goal of his to master the art of swimming. The eager young man was prepared for his ultimate test, it beats a bullet in the chest, at best. After all, hesitation only leads to incarceration, a form of humiliation Pilpo would experience with degradation. He proceeded in his path, hearing the voice of the police ringing from only yards behind him. "Criminals are like bananas! If you peel their skin and eat them, they die!" one officer exclaimed. As Pilpo neared the lake his speed multiplied as if his purpose was dignified. He dove into the body of water with supreme confidence and drowned.

Xavier Steinbumpa was never one to say no, especially to his friends. So when his roommate Ronaldo asked him to hang out with him that night he quickly replied yes and never second-guessed. Moments later his roommate informed him he was going to bring along this girl, Maria Consuelos, whom he had always talked about. He asked if that was all right and again never thought anything of it and said yes. As Xavier was in the car he started realizing what he was in for while sitting in the back of his roommates jacked up Tahoe. Once they arrived at the party he saw no one he knew and could already tell he would only have Ronoldo to talk to. Just a few minutes later Ronoldo and his date went back to the car to grab some “gum”. After an hour went by of sitting on a random couch he realized the trip to get gum was another action using your mouth. This gave him time to think about why he deserved this torture. He couldn’t get a grasp on why this was happening but made him think of an idea. Xavier was ridding the bench for his college basketball team and Ronoldo was starting at the same position. Xavier bolted out the door and went to the car where he would investigate. Xavier saw smoke coming from the sunroof and remembered Marias reputation for using illegal substances. Xavier opened the door real fast and got a picture of Ronoldo smoking dope. He got a taxi home and locked the door to his room so Ronodlo wouldn’t ask any questions to why he took that picture. As the season went on the team played outstanding and made it to the final four. The night before the game Xavier showed the picture to the coach who then suspended Ronoldo promoting Xavier to the starter. Xavier ended up hitting the game winning three to advance to the championship. Ronoldo still wonders why coach suspended him that day and Xavier lives in fear that he may find out.

Completely enthralled by his professor's lesson over the importance of ethics and religion, Stan Fender picked up on a classmate of his engaged in a repulsive act. The slackjawed college junior smacking away on his gum all the while not paying attention to the lecture. This infuriated Stan not only because it was distracting him from listening to his professor speak, but he also despised gum and the act of chewing it.Stan always held himself to a very high standard as well as others. He even enjoyed following authority as a child, always having his shirt tucked in and being prim and proper. For him, letting such a hooligan go on without a stern talking to is completely unacceptable. So, after class had concluded and students began filing out of the room Stan stopped his "friend" who had so annoyed him during the lecture. He said in a condescending tone, "You know, you look like a cow chewing your cud when you chew your gum like that, oblivious to the world around you. Why don't you try paying attention next time and looking a bit more intelligent? Glad I made myself clear." Grinning to himself, Stan walked out completely satisfied.

Bobby Jones was never particularly the best student in college and constantly slacked. He created awful habits over the period of his collegiate career, habits that teachers caught on to. One terrible habit Bobby became engrossed in was skipping English class everyday to smoke cigarettes and read romance novels in the student parking lot. It made Bobby furious whenever he laid his eyes on a student that was willing to make an effort in class and study hard in the library. As time passed throughout the semester Bobby was noticing that his grades were beginning to plummet and Bobby grew sad. He thought of ways to distract himself from academics, and decided to buy a Minature Schnauzer puppy. He looked in his wallet and noticed he had 0 dollars, he had spent all of his money on cigarettes and Shakespear novels. Bobby decided to go out and apply for a job at local restaurants. He was hired by Subway, and would spend the next few months stacking turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and mustard on top of wheat and white bread. With hard work, Bobby had earned around $1000, enough to buy a new Minature Schnauzer puppy. He went to the breeder and purchased his new companion and named him Otis. Otis retaught Bobby how to be responsible, a trait he had forgotten over the years. Bobby carried this responsibility over to the classroom, his teachers took notice. Bobby eventually earned a degree in Business thanks to Otis.

Bob sauntered back to his room, trying to sneak in without his roommate noticing. Bill, his roommate, had lectured him multiple times about waking him up the night before a test. After attending the Fraternity party down the hall, Bob wasn’t quite at his best. He stumbled around the room, trying to find the closet to vomit in, or as bob told himself, to recover. He and Bill had been on rough ground ever since he accidentally stabbed him at the mixer down the hall. Understandably, Bill had been a bit upset by this and passed the medical bill onto Bob. Back in the closet, Bob was struggling to regain his composure. He needed to get across the room, slide into bed, and hope Bill didn’t wake up during the whole ordeal. The wooden floors creaked with every footstep, and the cool floor did nothing to calm his nerves. He froze. Like a statue he stood, and when Bill’s breathing returned to its normal sleeping pattern, he resumed his march across the area. The final few steps would be tricky, Bob thought, as they were extremely close to Bill’s bed. He took each step carefully, his toes measuring out each step before he put his full weight down. He made it to the side of his bed, and raised one leg. With one half of his body already submerged under the covers, he let out a sigh of relief. The figure to his left stirred and again Bob became statue like. He lowered the rest of himself into bed, his drunk demeanor not halting his advance toward his cushion covered fort. He was fully in bed, when a spring gave out, screeching like a cackling witch. Bill shot straight up, turned around, and yelled. Bob cursed his luck.
